"The Third session of the Second National Paraffin and Frozen Production (Guangzhou) Trials and skills Improvement Training for Pathological Equipment" was held in Guangzhou on May 18-19, with players from all over the country competing on the same stage and learning from each other.  The activity was composed of three sections: frozen section competition + paraffin section competition and training. At the competition site, the students were immersed in dyeing sections, and the action was flowing in a tense atmosphere. The frozen section is different from the conventional pathological paraffin section. Each participant needs to do the frozen section and stain the liver, kidney and intestinal tissues in a short time. The competition assessed the entire operation process of the players, the integrity of the slice, the thickness, the flatness and the presence of ice crystals, the dyeing effect and the overall appearance of the slice.

Finally, the experts used Zeiss + Beatrix MDS to display the slices on the large screen and comment on the quality of the slices of the participants. At the same time, the experts listed the common problems in frozen sections and paraffin sections, and carried out an in-depth analysis and answer.

The "National Paraffin Production & Skills Improvement Training" organized by the Pathological Equipment Branch of the Chinese Medical Equipment Association helped medical institutions at all levels to solve the practical problems encountered in the operation of paraffin production and frozen production, continuously improved the professional technical level of paraffin production and frozen production, and greatly promoted the construction of pathological technology disciplines.
